Finding your way around the UKs mountains and hills requires good navigation skills. By taking one or both of these courses, you will learn how to confidently find your way in the mountains and be able to do so in all weathers. These courses are aimed to bring you right up from the beginners level taking time to teach you the basics so you have a solid base of skills to build on. First Mountains provides all maps and compasses required for the course along with any other specialist equipment required for the courses. You will need your own walking boots and waterproofs.
We offer two courses and they both conform to the standards set out by the National Navigation Award Scheme.
